"With the help of Great Lakes Educational Group, I was able to raise my ACT score four points to a 36.  Bill, my tutor, cared very much about my personal development and success.  I had several small areas that I repeatedly missed and he helped me pinpoint these areas and master the material.  He worked with me one-on-one to explain the material so that I fully understood it.  I was able to take several past tests with supplementary practice tests.  Each week when I walked in, I was welcomed warmly and greeted by name.  Everyone who works there was cheerful and glad to see me.  Thank you for your help!"

"I must admit that up until a few years ago I wasn't a proponent of test prep. To be honest, I thought it was somewhat of a scam. I always thought to do well on a test you had to have the knowledge of the subject to do well and if you had the knowledge, test prep would help, but, not that much. Then I noticed how students who were taking ACT test prep classes at Great Lakes Educational Group tended to improve their ACT score by a number of points and I started to say hmmmm...I wonder if there is something to this test prep thing?

My daughter took the ACT in 8th grade, 10th grade, and during the MME this past spring. In Math and Science on this year's spring MME/ACT she scored a 27 in each of those areas, a 32 in Reading and 34 in English for an average composite of 30. On all three ACT tests her highest score in Math and Science was a 28.

My daughter is thinking about attending a University that requires a 31 to get a full ride, but she had always come up short of a 31.

In April, I enrolled my daughter in an individual course at Great Lakes Educational Group, in Saline, that would focus on preparing her for just the Math and Science portions of the ACT. She took the test again earlier this month. Keep in mind, the review only focused on Math and Science. She got her results back this week. Her English score dropped from a 34 to a 28. Reading stayed the same at 34 and her Math and Science scores both jumped to 33! For an average composite score of 32.

What's interesting to me, is not that her scores in Math and Science improved, but by how much. I strongly believe she wouldn't have got these scores without the knowledge she received from her teachers at Clinton High School plus the ACT prep through GLEG. I also found it interesting that her English score dropped by so much. I think this also helps make the case for test prep, because I know that a month before the MME test her English teacher was doing a ton of prep in English and she got a 34, but she had no test prep in English before the June test and her score dropped to a 28. The only regret I have is that I wish I would have put my daughter in the Reading and English test prep as well at GLEG!"

"We don't have words to express our gratitude for all you've done for our daughter. We were thrilled with her score. We know that it wouldn't be so if not for you. Thank you."

"I just wanted to let you both know that I got a 34 on my ACT, which is the highest score I have ever gotten. The highest score I ever got on any practice test was a 32. Here are my scores: English-35, Math-34, Reading-33, Science-32, and Writing-33.

Thanks so much! I am very, very happy with my scores. Great Lakes Educational Group has made a tremendous difference for me and I really appreciate all the help you have given me. Carrie, you were a great tutor. Thanks for everything."

"My daughter has been tutored in math at GLEG for six years and is now in 8th grade.  The extra support has made such a tremendous difference, in both her grades and her confidence.  There are a multitude of reasons why our family continues to be impressed by the services and staff at GLEG, and among them are (1) each student's needs are addressed individually in a way that is not always possible in a regular classroom, and (2) the staff know the curriculum well and work on not only what the student needs to learn "this week", but also proactively what they will need to know and skills they will need to strengthen for upcoming units.  We look forward to the pleasure of working with the staff for a long time to come."
