Founded in 2000 as Step Ahead Learning Center, Great Lakes Educational Group has established itself as a trusted resource for parents and students from elementary through 12th grade. Our primary focus is on fostering the learning and logical skills necessary for children and young adults to excel in school and realize their full potential.

Over the years, we have continuously adapted to meet the evolving educational needs of students. Initially, our services included tutoring programs tailored to individuals and small groups across a wide range of subjects, including homework assistance, ACT and SAT preparation, reading, writing, math, science, social sciences, and study skills.

At Great Lakes Educational Group, we prioritize student success by developing personalized learning goals based on each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement. Our team of highly qualified tutors then designs a customized program to help students achieve their goals. With a focus on compassion and dedication, our tutors are committed to guiding students towards academic excellence.

We are honored to have received recognition for our commitment to excellence in tutoring. Great Lakes Educational Group has been awarded 'Favorite Tutor' in Ann Arbor Family's Family Favorites Awards every year since 2016. Additionally, we were voted 'Best Tutor' in Click on Detroit's Vote 4 the Best Contest in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
